You can modify the mag to hold 12 rounds, or buy a flush-fit 12 round mag. 13 rounds of 9mm in a package smaller than a glock 26 is nothing to sneeze.
That said, this joker REALLY kicks hard, and has a LOOOONG, HEAVY double action trigger pull. Nice thing about it, though, is that if you hit a hard primer you can just pull the trigger again. I paid $270-ish for mine a couple of years ago, so $200 is a great price. Go ahead and get it, then head over to and check their serial number lists for it. That will tell you if there are any known issues with the pistol in that range, if it has the lighter trigger, and you'll get a year of manufacture, too. Edit: Oh, and keep in mind that it has a lifetime warranty, so if anything is wrong with it go ahead and ship it back and Kel Tec will take good care of you.
First off don't listen to some of these gun snobs when they say bad things about Taurus and keltec. Yes they are lower quality firearms but they do not try to market them as such either. 99% of the time they will go bang with decent combat accuracy.
These companies wouldn't be in business making sub par products. That being said I did own a P11 at one point and never had any issues with it.
The trigger is the guns biggest down fall its very heavy. But if your looking for a 12 rd 9mm for cc on the cheap yeah it fits the bill perfectly. Although you like I did will finally wise up and realize you want something nicer quality and you will end up paying for it in the end. Personally I would just save my money unless you can get a deal you can't refuse on it I.e. Under 200 bucks. I will play the high road for this one.
Keltec is over priced well marketed base model firearms and some come with tacticool options. Taurus OMFG does gunnitbot taurus still work. If you get a good one they are great, but well the fail rate is worse then a 14 year old posting a funny meme based off of a current event 10 hours after it happened. Customer service sucks, many people have had to have guns sent back 2 or 3 times to get them fixed. Like I said if you get a good one you are set. But if you get a bad one then FTF, FTE FTFire, Stove pipping, and more issues will plague you. Taurus it touted as a solid brand but they are 1 step higher then hi-point but funny enough with worse service.

The price point on them in is nice but really for not much more or sometimes less you can get a S&w svde or a used glock. I am trashed 3am parabox I assume many typos. If you can fire the taurus you will buy before you buy it then ya buy it after 200 rounds. Let me tell you right now it will not happen. So says the CEO of the company I work for. Sr45 is solid, I am not a biggetst ruger fan but fuck it I just got another ruger last week for cheap, I own 4 now.
I like them and all and have no issues with them but well IDK they are average. You seem to be set on 45 for some reason, look into the ballistics of 10mm and.394 wait check that I mean cut down 10mm, wait I mean.40 s&w. Actually that is what I EDC and shoot the most, fuck it I pay the same price or less then 9, sure I would pay less for 9mm. I like to ballistics better on.40 If you want a solid cheap gun the pick up a LEO glock in 9 or.40 or a m&P or a SVDE under 400.00 fuck PM me and I will see what I can do for you. I am drunk and I will add won juan one my thing fuck it!!
Kel-Tec P11 was my first carry pistol, years ago. I bought it because it was cheap and held 10 rounds of 9mm.
No stores/ranges around me had them available to rent, and when you hold one at the store, they make you keep the slide open and you can't really get any feel for it. I bought it and immediately took it into the range to try it out. I instantly hated it, but it was too late. There are two main reasons to hate it: The trigger pull. Being a double action only, the trigger pull feels like 100 pounds. It's also very long.
You pull back, and nothing happens. Gotta pull it back a bit more. I always feared that in a real life situation, I would go to shoot and not pull it back far enough or be able to shoot rapidly enough, because of this trigger pull.
So I practiced, a lot. I got past that fear. But that leads to the second reason to hate it.
The gun is small and light. It doesn't take up much of your hand, and a pinky finger will be dangling off no matter how you hold it.
The grip is a very coarse plastic texture. All of these factors make it very uncomfortable to shoot. If I shoot 100 rounds bare-handed, I end up with a gross, bloody missing chunk of skin right on the joint where my thumb meets my hand.
It's really quite bad. All that being said, if you need a tiny pistol that holds 10 or 11 bullets of 9mm, and you don't want to spend much, this is about as good as it gets. I don't use mine anymore.ever. Once I upgraded, I never went back. Sometimes I hold it and I lament that I used to leave my personal security up to this little tinker toy.

As much as I dislike the thing, it's never malfunctioned, jammed, broken in any way. I've shot a total of maybe 2000 rounds through it, and never had any problems (which weren't inherent in the gun's design). It's a durable little piece of crap. For 200 bucks, to have a little backup pistol, I'd still probably go for it. That's almost nothing for a pistol of any sort.
I upgraded to something that's not quite even a carry pistol. It's a bit on the bigger side for conceal carry, but I happen to have just the right ratio of skinny hips and love handles that it blends in perfectly and doesn't really make a visible print in my clothing. I really like it though, and I like having 15 bullets to work with, should I need it.
If you were looking for something of a quality small conceal gun, Glock now makes a new small.380 that is quite concealable. And of course there's the Glock 34, aka the 'Baby Glock', which is a quite small 9mm. I'm a Glock guy, so I can talk all day about 'em. But there are plenty of very good quality conceal guns out there.

I like Glock because they are amongst the best-priced of the quality pistols, and they're so common it's very easy to find parts and accessories and expert information, etc.
Contents. Design and specifications The P-11 was designed by, the designer of many earlier (Sweden), and brand firearms. The P-11 uses an aluminum receiver inside a polymer grip housing held on with polymer pins. The slide, barrel, and magazine are steel.
The standard magazine holds 10 rounds, or 12 rounds in states not limited to 10-round magazines. Both fit flush to the bottom of the pistol. At 17.1 oz (480 g) unloaded, the handgun itself is comparatively light. The P-11 lacks an external manual safety, relying instead on a long and heavy double action only (DAO) trigger pull, which requires 9 pounds of pressure, to prevent accidental discharge. A firing pin spring and low-mass hammer prevent discharge if the gun is dropped. The P-11 will also accept some magazines.
An available adapter wraps around the base of 15-round Smith & Wesson model 59-style magazines. Smith & Wesson series 69 compact 12-round magazines will also work, with a matching short adapter sleeve, as well.
Accessories such as trigger shoes, finger-rests, belt clips, steel guide rods to replace the factory installed polymer guide rod, gray- and OD green-colored polymer grip housings, night sights, and other accessories are also available from the manufacturer. (December 2012) For a short period, the P-11 was offered in and with reduced magazine capacity. These weapons were designated P-40 and P-357.
These models mated a P-11's frame to a larger slide width and barrel. Kel-Tec has suspended production of these pistols and conversion kits. In 2006, Kel-Tec introduced a single-stack pistol based on the P-11 with engineering improvements borrowed from the. The resulting weighs about the same loaded as the P-11 empty and is somewhat slimmer. Marketing The P-11 is designed for by members of the general public and law enforcement officers. It is only slightly wider than the staggered-column it uses.
It is particularly attractive to users who want a concealable firearm, but also desire a 'full-power' defensive cartridge. The barrel is near the minimum length possible with a tilting-barrel system of operation. The gun easily fits into a pocket, small holster, or inside a handbag. All edges are rounded and smoothed allowing comfort while carrying concealed. Few protrusions on the pistol can catch on a pocket holster, a deep concealment, or inside of waistband.
In popular culture The P-11 was mentioned in the episode 'Iced, Iced Babies' as indicated by Debbie, Steve's girlfriend, admiring Stan's service pistol. See also. References.
