EBay Vows to Deal with Serial Bid Retractors by: Snapped Sat Nov 25 07: 'Ramped up' their attention? It has been back-alleyed for awhile now, to be sure. But there's a lot more road improvements needed to safely navigate through the eBay Action Buyer-hood before one can claim right of way access to pothole free rides in their fast lanes.

Bid retractions are just one roadblock on one street. So let's pretend for a sec eBay's blue-vested hard hatted road crew are really 'working' and not just standing around appearing to with this latest claim to be attentive. See if they really care to get feedback (sorry) from their traffic. You know, that stuff they built all those Jersey Walls to block out the noise from. Start with this premise, you fixed price trend market myopically focused financially facaded toll takers - roads are built different for different purposes. Auctions are different than retail, wholesale, or even 'negotiated' deals. Virtual or not, (Mechanics Blvd.

Needs some serious milling and repaving too, btw), auctions must have more 'controlled intersections' to ensure not only the safety of the buyer, but of the seller too. Try to think of the PROMISE of transaction fidelity as a two way street, else jams occur, and out come the loathed traffic cones, and the lead instigator sportily zooms away consequence free, leaving the seller a wreck, and the other 'value' drivers now stuck, wastng fuel, and distrustful of a return trip. So put away your tar mops and gravel pots. Ya can't just name everything Devin Drive either.

Folks'll get lost. This is auction town, 'pardner'. Here's a concrete (sorry again) idea instead. You can even use your 'bots' - if you can spare a few from their current inquisition duties. Oh, and it's not about the mechanicsway feeder accesses either. Remember, infrastructure is big job.

At least building it is, any moron can drive a disruptor. Gotta be in it for the long-haul; this is just one ramp.

Remains to be seen.anyway. Start by licensing the buyer.

This is Auction-land, different rules of the road. Bidding isn't a right, it's a privledge. Freely granted, but easilly lost if abused. Wanna drive wreckless, sans responsibility? Head on over the rainbow bridge to AzonacloneVille. Everyone has permanent rght of way over there. Next, actually USE that existing code that already requires one to confirm their bid.

How many stop signs do they let you blow thru and still keep a license anyway? But hey, distractions happen. A dent's still a dent though.

Buyers need to keep their eyes on the road. Your bid is binding. (Right, eBay? Or do you need to 'ramp up' to that too now?) One point off the action license. No bidding ANYWHERE for 48 hours. Within two weeks of the last one?

What's the excuse for running everyone off the road this time? Nevermind, court's already jammed, and besdes, you probably don't speak Tagalog anyway, right? Go do donuts in the Aclonezone for a month. Gate's closed to you in Bidville. Stay clean for 60 days after that, we'll forgive you your tresspasses. Don't, and we're gonna have words.

Lack of integrity? Lack of skills? Lack of birthdays? Six months loss of bidding license. Come back when you get it.

See how simple it is? Personal responsibility. Give something value, and it will be treated with value. Make it an unvetted video game, and it's game over for everybody.

Better get building soon though. Folks are discovering alternate routes to be flowing much smoother. EBay Vows to Deal with Serial Bid Retractors by: maxmad Sat Nov 25 17: ha ha this is funny, I can tell you for sure, ebay couldn't care less, As a buyer, I have done tons of bid retractions, and this year alone have opened at least 50+ INR cases, so many in fact I thought they would suspend my account, but to my surprise ebay apologized for the issues and gave me 6 coupons. (for a total of $90 off any future purchases ) they absolutely do not care one bit about sellers, so why would they care about what buyers do to sellers,?

EBay Vows to Deal with Serial Bid Retractors by: Ming the Merciless Sat Nov 25 20: In the category I sell in when I see more than just a few bids, after several years of observation I'm convinced that many of these bids come from a seller's bidding ring whose purpose is drive up the final selling price. Ebafia traffic has become so anemic that most auctions are losing propositions in ebafia's race to the bottom. Of course, thanks to ebafia's so called 'privacy' policies, the legitimate bidder can't see the user IDs of their competitors many of whom likely have little to no feedback because they're shill accounts. IMO, online auctions have too many potential and real abuse problems. EBay Vows to Deal with Serial Bid Retractors by: Chicago48 Mon Nov 27 05: Sellers can block bad bidders.

That solves that problem, and maybe Ebay should remind sellers of that feature. But for me the problem is getting bidders to pay. I had a Best offer on Thanksgiving and I'm still waiting for payment. The same happens with bidders, that's why Ebay needs to find a way to freeze the bidders bank account of the bid amount while sellers are waiting for payment.

Ebay Bid Blocker Freeware Games For Pc

Inform the seller that monies have been frozen from the Paypal account and they have 3 days to accept the bid or the bid payment automatically goes to the seller. Waiting for the monies is ridiculous in this day and age. Ebay knows how to raid our bank accounts for their fees, it should work for us too. EBay Vows to Deal with Serial Bid Retractors by: Chicago48 Mon Nov 27 07: @max mad in Truth the buyer has power over the seller IN EVERY SITUATION. I'm a buyer and I cannot tell you how many times I've returned an article (clothing, housewares) after 3 months! I have returned items that I had with tags on them for a year.

The store kindly took them back, gave me a store credit and off I went. The days of 30 days return are over and the buyer (you and I) do have power over the seller. Ebay is doing nothing more than other stores are doing. Don't believe it? Buy anything from Walmart and walk it back 40/60 days later. They will refund you.

The only difference is the platform. B&M stores operate differently than Ecommerce stores. We are 'renters', we're not owners. Ebay is the owner and we rent their space and as the LL they can come up with whatever policy they want. If we don't like it, there's AMZ. OBTW, AMZ has similar policies. So where you gonna go?

EBay Vows to Deal with Serial Bid Retractors by: JWsax Mon Nov 27 09: I am noticing more cancelled bids due to people using their phones to view auctions and overlooking critical information. I block some, not all, it depends on when they cancel, past history with me, polite communication and so on. Not for a moment do I think ebay will do anything to improve the situation but I have no doubts about their ability to make it worse. I'm still wondering if they will ever fix the addresses so I don't get an Invalid Address message when I try to ship. OT but why to they let them enter an address that they then will not allow me to ship to without editing?

Snipe to win on eBay. Myibidder Bid Sniper is a sniper for eBay buyers that places the last seconds bids to increase your chances to win.

No need to watch for auctions anymore, just set a snipe and let the sniper do the job for you. Once the snipe is set, you don't need to keep the app running for the snipe to work. Required to start: 1. Create an account for sniping from within the app or using 2.

Ebay Bid Blocker Freeware Games

Link your eBay account to the sniper from within the app or using Step by step instructions on how to add an item for sniping: For those who never used eBay sniper in the past: 1. SNIPING DOES NOT GUARANTEE WINNING. YOU HAVE TO MEET EBAY'S AND SELLER'S REQUIREMENTS IN ORDER TO WIN. ALSO, YOUR SNIPE MUST BE READY (ADDED & ACTIVATED) AT LEAST 3 MINUTES IN ADVANCE. YOU CAN STOP SNIPING IF YOU HAVE AT LEAST 1-2 MINUTES TO GO BY SETTING 'OFF' ON 'Activate Snipe' AND SAVING YOUR CHANGES. IT'S ALSO TECHNICALLY NOT POSSIBLE TO SHOW THE CURRENT BID IN REAL-TIME IN THE APP.

IT'S PARTIALLY AVAILABLE IN PRO VERSION. THE CURRENT PRICE DOES NOT AFFECT SNIPING ANYWAY. Want to get answers? Please feel free to ask: CURRENT LIMITATIONS: a. No Groups management (Get the Pro version if you need Groups) b. Does not refresh information automatically so if you miss snipe status, you have to do 'Refresh' from the My Main Menu The application uses Myibidder.com service (originally named Myibay.com) to place your snipes, so you can turn off or disconnect your phone after you scheduled your snipe. Currently, the service processes over 150,000 snipes weekly.

Sniping is done using eBay US by default. The service is supported by donations of our users: Make sure you have at least 3-4 minutes before auction ends when scheduling your snipe. Security tokens has very limited support. It's recommended not to use it when sniping. Please contact support for more details. By using Myibidder.com service you have to agree to the following terms: Please note the comments on Android Market are NOT for bug reports and suggestions.

If you want to suggest something or found a bug to be fixed, please use the following Myibidder.com official forums for bug reports and support: It will not be fixed if you don't let us know on the forums. Permissions used: Internet connections: the app needs to be able to make connections in order to schedule snipes, retrieve your snipes information, etc. Read logs: the app reads its own logs and error messages in order to properly address each crash. It does NOT access your personal information.

It's working fine. I had to re-install because I have a new phone. I followed the instructions and it linked just fine. I won my first auction since reinstalling. My only concern is whether the app automatically submits your price you put into the app or submits a bid just barely over the next highest bid?

I want to win auctions by $0.25 not $10.00 if I'm the highest. UPDATE: I won an auction below the amount I put into the app. I won an auction on an item for $29.66 where the maximum the app would have placed was $35.75. So my concern was unfounded.

My only wish is you can set it to snipe the very last second instead of within 3 seconds of the end of the auction. It's working fine. I had to re-install because I have a new phone. I followed the instructions and it linked just fine. I won my first auction since reinstalling.

Not at all intuitive or helpful. The process to add and bid on items are woeful.

Other than typing in the item number, you import your watchlist, but it does not auto refresh, so you are looking at a watchlist from the last time you used it. So you refresh the watchlist and tap on the item you want, but nothing happens, so you have to tap on it again to bring the details up. You tap on the amount you want to bid, and if it was any good, it would clear the 0.00 there already and let you type in, but no, it just gives you the flashing I bar, and you have to be very careful, you are not bidding with an extra 0 at the end of what you wanted. Then you press save, and when the dialog box goes, you are left on the same screen.

So you press save again???? Apart from that, the interface looks like it was designed by a 14 year old hacker, and it could really do with bringing over photos from ebay, so you can identify you are looking at the right item. Finally, it has failed a few times. It failed me today, wneh I really needed it, and claimed I hadn't set a bid. Can I be 100% sure I didn't?

No, as the interface is so bad., but I'm 95% certain I had set a bid. Love this app! But have serious issue that needs resolved right now.

Says 'error while trying to login. Wrong username or password'. Ok, I click the icon to open the app. It opens up to a screen that has username, password, forgot, login, and terms.

When I enter my name and password, it gives me an error. This happens when i change my eBay password. If i have a different password for this app, why did it break when I changed my eBay password? Normally, it asks for the new password inside the app. Now, I can't get in the app at all. All i see is the login page.

Where is this link to support I'm supposed to click? If that app won't even open, how is someone supposed to be able to contact support?

I,like others whi feedback 1 star, love this app-it's amazing and most helpful app. However it keeps on loggin me out or crashing everytime I try to update my bid and I have to log in again. Problem is after redirecting to 'agree'page I'm never sure if it did as it doesn't return to the app. Once it failed to bid being not logged on despite login on. I read your replies and it's a lot of excuses so I suggest to get it working as it was before rather than try blaming users. That's a friendly advice.
