As with every iteration of Board Games, you get a suspiciously similar interface peppered with a couple of new gaming choices.The usual representatives, such as Backgammon, Checkers, Chess, Dominoes and Pachisi still feel and sound much like their real world counterparts. Even better are Yacht (a Yahtzee clone), Battling Ships, Mahjong Tiles (which comes in several variations, including ‘Gravity Tiles’), Snakes and Ladders (Chuttes and Ladders), Line ‘Em Up (Connect Four), Reversi and Mancala (a fast-paced count-and-capture thingamajig), totaling eighteen games in all. FaceMaker has been available since Board Games 3 and makes an expected return here as well. You’ll play against an amusing assortment of AI characters that you can freely adjust as far as difficulty and dialogue frequency. They range from talking bears to alien-abducted fur trappers.
